Hi. I am 33 indian, After having sex with my wife last nght i felt my penis is swollen just under the head. I am already circumcised. It is not paining but little irritation maybe due to swelling. I dont have any problem urinating. I just noticed in the middle of intercourse it went dry and we proceeded. Just concerned if i need to see a doc. Please advice.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Swelling on penis after having sex can occur due to mechanical trauma to the penile skin. Friction can lead to swelling and pain. Avoid sexual activity for 1-2 days and then observe for disappearance of swelling and pain. If pain is due to mechanical trauma, the pain should disappear after avoiding sexual activity. If the swelling and pain do not subside or there is appearance of discharge or any other similar symptom, you need to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
