What Causes Swollen Perineum In A Female?

I am a female and I noticed that I have a swollen perineum, it s not on my anus nor my vigina but between the two, I drink a lot of coffee, I have a pet, and my husband and I do have sex alot but not in the anus. What caused this and should I seek a physican?

Swelling in perineum can be due to trauma, congestion or allergy to ulcer garments or sanitary pads. I suggest you to change to cotton fabric and avoid using sanitary pads for a while. In case the swelling does not disappear then there trauma or congestion can be the cause. Kindly consult your gynecologist in that case.
