What Causes Swollen, Sore Area On Left Lower Back?
I have softball size area came up year ago on bottom left side lower back. .sore to sit with back against seat or to lay on. Left side now lower stomach swollen I m 43 yr old white female 5 8 165 lbs no other health issues I smoke an have arthritis. Whashould I do

Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like disk herniation , tuberculosis of the spine , spondyloarthropathy , hyperlordosis , septic arthritis or kyphosis. I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may examine physically by checking tenderness and consistency . Doctor may also take sample for lab test . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with anti inflammatory or may recommend surgical excision . For now apply warm compresses and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain.
