What Causes Swollen & Tender Abdomen In Patients With Hysterectomy?
I have had unexplained weight gain. My abdomen is swollen from right under my breasts down. Myvabdomen is tender when I press on it. I'm extremely fatigued and can't sleep. I'm also having tenderness in left breasts and I have had complete hysterectomy & don't take hormones. Please tell mevwhat could be wrong
The distension of the whole abdomen can be due to : -Ascitis, meaning collection of the fluid in the abdominal cavity. This can be easily confirmed by ultrasonography, and and can be tapped to send the fluid for analysis. Ultrasonography will also help to see all other organs. -Gaseous distension, which in turn can be due to intestinal obstruction and can be due to multiple factors. This can be diagnosed by X-ray of the abdomen in a standing position. This can cause pain in tenderness. A proper diagnosis will decide for the further treatment.
