What Causes Swollen Testicles, Fever And Chills While Treating Bladder Cancer?

After my recent BCG treatment for bladder cancer I had fever (102) and chills. I was given rocephin by IV and sent home with a Cipro prescription. After a few days I noticed swelling of my testicles. Is this serious? What can be done? How is this treated?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The fever and chills you are referring may be caused by an infection. Also the testicle swelling may be caused by infection. Finish the complete antibiotics course. If the swelling still persists do an ultrasound of the tests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
