Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
In 2010-2011 I shot meth, had a normal (of course sickly) come down... Now in 2015 I smoked meth for my first time. From 8:00am to 11:30pm this evening.. I came down quick everytime so I smoked more! I have been extremely nauseous ALL day! My tonsil on my left side is really swollen! Brings me to tears when I try to swallow! I have been very shakey all day and have grinder my teeth since the start! Even my ear on theft is hurting! As of right now I am in a lot of pain! Idk what to do! I have been having unprotected sex... If there was a chance I am pregnant it would only be a couple weeks at the most. Idk what s going on inside me.... And I m scared to risk going to the hospital... Please give me some other advice...
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your query, it seems that due to smoking meth continuously, there has been irritation and inflammation of throat and tonsils with heat and chemicals leading to pain during swallowing.
Hurting of the ear is also due to inflammation and can also be radiating pain from throat as there is connection between the throat and ear via Eustachian tube.
You should completely stop smoking meth and do warm saline gargles for relief from pain in throat. You can also gargle with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine.
You can take Tylenol or Advil to relieve pain. Take soft diet, ample of rest and drink plenty of water.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Honey Arora
