Yes. I have a tonsil that is swollen like a bubble and the same side of my neck has swollen glands. It has been that way for about 2 months. No pain or fever. I did have an upper respiratory infection for a couple of weeks and took a Z-pack and now have a lingering cough that will not go away. Should I see an ENT?
Hello As you mentioned that there is enlargement of tonsils resembling like a big bubble , so this is due to infection . Infection may be due to bacteria as streptococcus or staphylococcus or other one . A throat swab and its examination for culture will find out the exact nature of pathogen ( bacteria) . While enlargement or swelling in the neck is due to lymphatic drainage by lymph nodes from infected tonsils . Z-pack took & not effective so this is the best way to consult an E N T specialist and get his opinion. Good luck.
