I have had a sharp pain on mr ring finger and then again the area between my pointing finger and thumb, both on the right hand. The sharp pain was accompanied with a vein swelling, blue color, intense sharp pain. After this subsided, a bruise remained. What could be causing this?
Hi, The veins you describe might have become fragile and ruptured leading to blood collection and bruising under the skin. It is fairly normal after a certain age but if it happens frequently and without much trauma to any part then you should consult your GP or a Hematologist who can run a Coagulation profile to see whether all is well. Take care and do not worry. Dr Rishi, New Delhi, India.
