What Causes Swollen Wrists In A Person With High BP?
Well hello Dr. Rynne, hope your having a good week. Mother is currently experiencing (just recently) swollen wrists, that she says they can feel "warm" and had appeared "red" & kinda hurt a bit, at this moment her wrists "aren't" swollen. (occurance was over-nite) She is 89 years old and is only being seen for managing her "high blood pressure".
Hello Welcome to HCM. It may be due to high BP or may be due to arthritis of wrists. It may be due to edema. Please consult your treating doctor for BP measurement. Take very low salt in diet. Take x rays for wrist. Take tablet iburofen for swelling and pain. Hope these all will help you. Thanks for contacting. Take care....
