What Causes Symmetrical Rashes On Both Arms And Lower Legs?

Hi I have been getting symmetrical rashes on both my arms along the outter sides, which has small blister like bumps. It gets very red, itchy and when I m in a cold or cooler place it doesn t itch but once I get outside and get into my vehicle it flares up. I have been having this symtpoms now for 3 weeks, only to see it go away after I use hydrocortisone cream and a moisturizer. What is it, I feel its some kind of eczema because the same thing is on my lower legs near my ankle.

Hi,

The symptoms could possibly indicate sun allergy also called as polymorphic light eruptions.Allergy to sun can present as rashes or bumps with itching. Another possibility is dryness induced eczema. Continue with hydrocortisone cream for a couple of days after which it should not be used. Steroids should not be used for a long time to avoid skin aging like symptoms. Moisturizer and sunscreen should be used everyday to maintain skin hydration and prevent sun burns.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
