What Causes Tachycardia, Diarrhea And Nausea After Having Outside Food?

Hi. My husband had a Nissan fundiplication 4 years ago. 3 days ago we were in Phuket. Prior to leaving for airport we had dinner. Half hour into trip to airport my husband became severely unwell. Diaphortic,tachycardia, diarrhea, febrile, dry retching but unable to vomit. He was grey, looked like he just got out of shower with clothes on looked like he was going to die. He even said that he felt like he was dying. He became semiconscious and confused and disorientated. I am assuming severe acute food poisoning exacerbated by inability to vomit. Took him to Phuket hospital but they couldn t speak English and had no idea what to do.

Hello dear
I appreciate your concern for your husband
This could be a food poisoning or intoxication may be due to contaminated food with preformed toxins

In my opinion you should immediately consult a doctor who can understand your language

He may require gastric lovage (stomach wash) and supportive care
Meanwhile you can give him lemon water or antacids
He can attempt for voluntary vomiting by putting a finger deep in the throat
Take care for water and electrolyte loss from body
by giving him plenty of fluids including ORS and fruit juices
