What Causes Tailbone Pain Despite Diagnosed With Genital Herpes?
A female friends of mine was recently diagnosed with genital herpes, and ever since she s been having really bad tailbone pain. She said she hasn t had any outbreaks, but yet get gynecologist told her she could have cancer.... Is tailbone pain a result of the virus being in the spine and traveling down to her tailbone?
Good day and thanks for your question. the answer to your question is that genital herpes virus does not cause tailbone pain and the virus does not travel down to the tailbone. Tailbone pain is most commonly caused by trauma to the coccyx area. A thorough physical examination including examination of the spine and a neurologic examination, and a X-ray film would determine the cause of the tailbone pain. So I suggest you implore your female friend to visit her doctor. Thank you.
