Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I vomitted last night from 2:30 until 7 this morning. I think I got food poison. I slept most of the day but have been having chills and then moments where I am hot. My temperature has varied all day from 97.5 to 99.8. I have been able to keep crackers and soda down all day. Should I be consered about the temperature change
hai, vomiting will cause loss of fluid with electrolytes.(dehydration) temperature variation will occur depend upon the level body fluids ,electrolytes and body response to the vomiting. your quoted temperature is normal. (97.5 to 99.8). no need to worry about temperature variation.its a physiologcal response.
keep hydrated with liquid food like (steamed rice with butter milk),water with electrolytes (salt)
avoid soda. Soda contains bicarbonate.that is not advisable in vomiting condition.
Thank you Hope i answered your query.
