loss of temporary hearing in one ear. military possible related as seen at field hospital Vietnam. increasing. seems like what one experiences when taking a shower and washing ones hair as the water fills the ear canal. However, in this case when I am going about in any given normal activity. my ear canal is clean as I carefully utilize regular q-tip cleaning. thank you.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have temporary loss of hearing in the ear which could be due to Otosclerosis meniere's disease , autoimmune inner ear disease , very loud noise , acoustic neuroma , physical head injury or ear infection . It seems sensorineural hearing loss. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , blood test , examination with otoscope . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin or penicillin ) , anti inflammatory medications. Doctor can recommend you surgery in severe damage of ear drum like tympanoplasty . You should use hearing aid as that is the best treatment possible. For now apply warm dry compresses , start taking ginkgo biloba supplement and drink green tea thrice a day . Try to keep your ear dry , which is very important and cover it while bathing .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
