What Causes Tender And Sore Lump In Pubic Hair Area?

I have a 3-4 cm lump in my pubic hair region. It s so tender and sore to touch. I m also getting pus filled spots at the roots of my pubic hair. I did shave that area about a week ago and I also stupidly applied fake tan around the area a few days before.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Painful lump in the pubic region along with pus filled spots at roots of pubic hair are most probably due to folliculosis.
Folliculosis is inflammation of the hair roots.
Accumulation of pus indicates bacterial infection.
Since, the lump is quite large 3-4 cm and there is pus collection also, an incision drainage of the lump is required followed by antibiotic therapy.
If the lump is painful, you can take pain killer to control the pain but the definitive treatment is incision drainage and a course of antibiotic.

Thanks and take care
