Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 61 and was silly enough to ice skate without a helmet. The goose egg is the size of a half a hardball. I have had a little dizziness, but it is not painful. My vision got fuzzy around the edges, but it is fine now. I have had no nausea or vomiting and my vision in now relatively clear. It does not hurt and is not really tender to the touch. Any advice?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have tender hard lump on the head. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case the painful lump is probably due to folicullitis or infected lipoma . I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order ultrasound or check physically likr tenderness and consistency . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics at least for 5 days long with anti inflammatory . Doctor may recommend surgically removal in case of cyst . For now apply warm compresses and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
