What Causes Tender Spot And Swollen Vein On Penis?

About a week ago I woke up with a slightly tender spot on my penis and a very hard swollen vein that goes almost the entire length of the shaft. The vein has no color to it so I m not exactly sure if thats what it is. It s not painful, but I am concerned about what is going on and if it will clear up on its own or not. There hasn t been any redness or swelling and it hasn t gotten better or worse this entire time.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It seems to be part of STD infections and if any recent sexual exposure had been encountered, you may need to have an infectious diseases specialist review and get STD or TORCH screening, and herpes zoster may be ruled out as well. Treatment would be accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
