What Causes Tender Spot Below The Right Knee?

I have a very tender spot just below my right knee feels like nerve bruised, maybe during yoga when kneeling? It is not the knee, it is a spot that seems -behind- the long bone just below the knee. I feel it is nerve damage that has to heal but it has been a few weeks. No swelling or discoloration but very tender to the touch or when I kneel or when I accidentally bump it.Wait for it to go away or could it be more serious?
