What Causes Tenderness And Pain In The Foreskin Of The Penis?
I have tender red skin around the glans of my penis (head). It s been ongoing for more than a year and I cannot find a resolution for this. The discolored (red) skin of my glans is around the entire circumference. It s very tender and hurt to touch. There are no sores or rashes present. Lymph nodes swollen also. I did have syphilis (latent) which was treated with 3 shots of penicilian which supposedly got rid of it. Apparently it was a latent stage which I d had for over a year. Help! Blood tests show nothing abnormal.
However, you are suggested to visit a GP, get clinically assessed & get all STD tests done to detect the STI (syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea, etc) causing you discomfort. You will be treated according to the severity of the pathology detected. You will be treated with oral or injectable antivirals or antibiotics according to the condition assessed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
