Hi,
Since you have a history of UC & are being treated by
remicade, your immunity is already compromised. If you live in a region of fungal infections are common & are diabetic, allergic reactions are likely to show up(rash,
psoriasis, hives, etc).
Side effects of remicade also may cause rashes. The doses of remicade is monitored depending upon the condition being treated. Stay connected with your treating doctor & keep him informed of the other medications & supplements you may be taking as drugs may interact with Remicade & cause symptoms.
Get physically examined get STI /HPV tests done along with serum
glucose tests & tests for
balanitis, get evaluated get treated. In the meantime avoid sex, take care of your hygiene, wear loose fitting clothes, apply antifungal/
steroid creams on the affected area. You may need antibiotics, antivirals or antifungals depending upon the severity of the disease detected.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K,
