Hi,
Noted your history well and understood the concerns. The swelling near
pisiform bone at wrist in spite of using brace while working on computer indicates one of the following reasons in face of normal X-ray.
Peri-arthritis of the bone and joints as there are more bones and joints.
Osteoarthritis due to misuse.
Tenosynovitis is a common cause.
Stress fractures get diagnosed after callus is formed, as seen on X-rays.
This can be diagnosed and treated in the following ways:
Consult an Orthopedic Surgeon for proper clinical history, examination and evaluation with correlation of the X-ray/MRI findings.
Anti-inflammatory medicines.
Oral or local
steroids if there is tenosynovitis after ruling out
diabetes.
Stop misusing and have proper brace and such things as would be advised by your Orthopedic Surgeon or Physiotherapist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT and General Surgeon
