Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I got my nose pierced 3 months ago. It has always been kinda tender around the piercing and hurts when I change the piercing. It s not infected, and I clean it with a sea salt nose piercing spray to keep it clean. Recently I ve been getting nose bleeds, and when I was changing the ring tonight my nose started bleeding again. Can my nose piercing be causing the nose bleeds?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of tenderness around a nose piercing which seems to be due to infection in the area of piercing and it could be most probably due to allergic reaction to material of piercing.
Need not to worry. I would sugegst you to remove your nose pin and wash it properly to remove all debris and microorganisms. You should apply triple antibiotic ointment over it and mainatin complete hygiene. Avoid touching or pricking it with any sharp object. You should visit general physician once if symptoms keeps on persisting and get it examined and start treatment accordingly. You should wear gold/ plastic nose pin.
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
