What Causes Tenderness In Abdomen Along With Pins And Needles In Arms?

Hello. I cut my finger and then began to feel extremely light headed. My stomach was sore and i lost hearing in my right ear. This disappeared after a few minutes but both of my hands got pins and needles and I was unable to move them. It was like my hands had cramped up but there was no pain in them, they just felt fuzzy and were locked In place. This went away after a while but it worried me as this had never happened before. I am 17 years old and my mother thought I went into shock. If you could help me it would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, you should a neurosurgeon review for detailed sensory examination of upper limbs and if needed X-ray cervical spine and nerve conduction studies may be needed. Meanwhile, OTC analgesics like Acetaminophen and Gabapentin may be helpful. Folic acid and B12 levels should also be done.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
