What Causes Tenderness In Back And Severe Bloating Post An Injury?
Hi there I recently had a fall In The shower and from my bottom to half way up my back it is very tender and I have not been able to open my bowels and as a result I am extremely extremely bloated I look like I am about 8 months pregnant and this has happen over the last week. I am wondering what you suggest my be the problem? Thank you
The symptoms seem to be related to the injury. I suggest to do an abdominal ultrasound for further evaluation. If the problem is related to bloating I suggest to use an over-the-counter laxative such as miralax. I also suggest to use simethicone medications to relieve the bloating. I recommend to eat a light diet with vegetables and fruits.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
