Hi there,
I'm assuming you have a cardiac
stent placed through your
radial artery, which is a common procedure. If this was done a few days ago, it can be normal to have tenderness in the area the stent was deployed. It sounds like the
tingling is improving, but the tenderness is still present. Sometimes you can have inflammation that causes the arteries or veins to be tender, and this should resolve with time. I'd recommend a warm compress for 15 minutes at a time with a 10 minute break, and see if that helps with the tenderness.
I hear a lot of patients complain of lower
back pain after surgery or a procedure. It used to puzzle me quite a bit, but it's usually due to the fact that you're lying on a hard, stiff table for a few hours, which tends to leave most people with a sore back. It sounds like your heart is in good shape after the stent, and that's the most important thing. The back pain and the
wrist pain should get better within a few days.
I hope this answers your questions. Please feel free to contact me should you have any further questions.
