What Causes Tenderness, Mild Swelling And Pain Close To C-section Scar?
I have tenderness and mild swelling in my left lower abdomen. It is very tender to touch. The swelling and most intense spot of pain is just to the left and above my c-section scar. I made an appointment today and saw my nurse practitioner. She barely poked around on my stomach and wrote it off as gas. Should I get a second opinion. It s been soar for about 5 days now.

Gas does not usually cause tenderness, it would cause pain that a person would feel but there is not usually tenderness when the abdomen is palpated.
This means that you should consider a second opinion since it has been sore and painful for a few days already.
The bowel, bladder , ovaries are found may be a source of pain but your abdomen would need to be properly assessed.
