What Causes Tenderness On The Right Side Of The Head?

My wife is 51 and a couple of hours ago got tenderness on the right side of her head above the ear to the part in her hair about the size of her palm, when pressed it hurts more but is not a sharp or throbbing pain, more like she was hit in the head ans this would be the after effect. This is the first time she has felt this odd sensation of pain and tenderness, no vomiting or recent trauma, eyes dilate, motor skills are intact, skin sensitivity fine, short term memory ok. c

Hello,

As you explain the history it might be a nerve pain triggered by a viral infection. Usually, it passes after some days. No worries.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
