Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Tenderness Under Arm During Menstrual Cycle?
I am 35 y.o. female who gets sore and swollen under arms and a severe headache 1-2 days before my period starts. The headache goes away but I have under arm tenderness during my period but it goes away when my period is gone. Is this normal? Has been happening for a few months now.
I have gone through your query, i will try to give you suggestion which will be helpful to you. The symptoms which you are facing might be fibrocystic breast disease, it's usually hormonally related. You will get pain and swelling during premenstrual period and it will subside later. It's normal in few people. You can get mammograms if you want to confirm. Meanwhile you can take over the counter analgesics for pain relief. This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.
I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you. I will be glad to help you in case if you have any further queries.
Wish you speedy recovery. Take care.
