Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a vasectomy just over a year ago. I have had an uncomfortable pain in my right testicle and when I feel for lumps (which I don t think there is) I get a sharp very sore pain at the back. It is also higher in the sack than the other (more than I believe it usually is).
The most probable cause of pain in testicle long time after Vasectomy can be elevated position of testis with pain that indicates torsion of testis as being the most common cause in your case. This is so because, after a vasectomy, there is no chance of retrograde infection from urinary tract to the testis as the tubes are now blocked.
I would advise you the following in such a situation: - Give immediate scrotal support - Rush to ER for proper ultrasound with colour Doppler examination of scrotum and abdomen for urogenital system. - May need corrective surgery with fixation of testis as the diagnosis may be
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
