What Causes The Absence Of Gestational Sac?

Hi I am 24 and I have a 3 year old daughter I have recently done a pregnancy test which has tested positive 4 times and when I went for a transvaginal scan they told me there is no baby or sac present.. i has still not started my periods and am worried? What are the reasons for this?

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Absent gestation sac with positive pregnancy test causes could be...

-there is a chance of ectopic pregnancy in which gestational is located other than uterus like ovary, peritoneum(abdominal layers),ovary,repeat the scan once again to rule out above conditions.

-error in pregnancy kit, most probably showed false report ,wait for 1 week till you get periods.

-Check for the blood HCG levels if you still have doubts to rule out other causes of increased HCG levels other than pregnancy.
