What Causes The Constant Feeling Of Obstruction In The Throat?
Daughter had bad car accident--rear-ended. Since then, feels like lump in throat. Could this have something to do with possible cervical sprain, hyaloid membrane/cartilage being damaged? Her Dr. is treating for GERD--does see some small nodules on thyroid.
Understanding your concern. As per your query sensation of constant feeling of obstruction in the throat is due to granular pharyngitis or upper respiratory tract infection. The symptoms can also occur due to conditions like tonsillitis , inflammation from injury or acid reflux. I would suggest you to avoid eating and drinking acidic , spicy and hot food and beverages . Do warm saline gargles . If condition doesn't get better in 2-3 days then consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and go for swab test. Go for sputum test as well if required and start treatment as per proper diagnosis. Sip warm water after every few minutes.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
