What Causes The Constant Urge To Clear The Throat?
i have a constant urge to clear my throat and also quite a bit of thick mucus in throat as well. Secondly, i have had a dull ache in the right side of torso just below the nipple, but off to the side. This has been going on for probably about three months. Any advice??
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of constant urge to clear the throat which is due to compromised immunity of body and increased susceptibility of getting infected due to respiratory tract infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles on daily basis. You should avoid cold carbonated beverages and take throat lozenges. You should take antibiotic amoxicillin in combination with antiallergic medication. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. Avoid oily and sharp food. Drink plenty of fluids. You should get throat swab test done and start treatment after proper diagnosis.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
