What Causes The Fear Of Eating Large Portions Of Food?
I am having a lot of issues with eating on big plates. PORTION SIZE SCARES ME. i VE HEARD THIS CAN BE COMMON IN OLDER FOLKS, BUT i M ONLY 54. I ve lost almost 90 lbs over the last 14 months. Can you give me a name for the fear. All my blood work is excellent, btw.
Thanks for writing to Health Care magic, I am Dr , Muhammad Ahmad , I have read your question closely, I understand your concern and will be helping you with your health related problem.
Mostly this fear is considered as eating disorder subtype, you do not need any medication but you need psychological therapy with time after doing few exercises and counselling sessions you are expected to recover from this problem. I would suggest you to try eating small multiple meals instead of large ones and chose restaurants and places with smaller servings if you are hanging out. You will recover easily.
I hope this answered your question, If you have more queries I am happy to answer you. Regards.
