Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Doctor, I am a 23 year old, healthy male. For about a week now I have a feeling that pee is stuck in the urethra about under the head of the pennis-mid shaft constantly. I have no pain and I pee like normal but there is always this feeling. What could it be and what I can do?
Incomplete voiding can result from obstruction of the urethra (by conditions such as benign prostatic hyperplasia, urethral stricture, urinary tract stones, cystocele, rectocele, constipation, and certain tumors and cancers), nerve problems, medications, and weakened bladder muscles. First cause needs to be diagnosed. Incomplete voiding in old age is mostly caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia. But it may occur in young also. It causes urinary retention. Urinary retention is usually treated by bladder drainage urethral dilation, urethral stents, prostate medications, and surgery. Urethroscopy may be needed. Advice 1. Consult a urologist of your area or any general surgeon 2. Investigation – Per rectal examination by surgeon for BPH, R/E of urine, C/S of urine Thanks
