What Causes The Habit Of Constant Licking And Smacking Of Lips In A Person?
My Boyfriend, a 60 year old Caucasian with mental health issues and formerly homeless, constantly licks and smacks his lips, at times so loudly that I can hear him from across the room. I am concerned that there may be some medical cause for this as he is most often very agitated when I say something to him about it.

I really appreciate your concern, of course there must be some medical issue but this could be mental health related and he may be in need of psychiatric help, in my opinion he need to be seen by the psychiatrist for better management, take care.
