What Causes The Labia To Shrink?

Hi i am worried that my vaginal lips have really shrunk and turned white so i feel i have a don t have any protection covering my vagina and seems to spray to the sides every time i pass water .. doctor said it was something common to do with the menopause?

I understand your concern.
Sometimes, menopause can bring about bothersome changes in and around the vagina, causing symptoms that might not be easy to talk about. This is totally normal as after menopause or during perimenopause, the levels of estrogen are low, which causes the vaginal lining to become thinner and has fewer folds, which makes it less flexible. Also, vagina may also become shorter and narrower.
So you need not be worried about these changes and take care of genital hygiene during these period. You can consult Gynecologist in this regard for further information.
