Dear Customer , This is Dr. S. Tomar from healthcaremagic.com's medical team and I ll be your medical advisor for this question. First of all thank you for sharing your concern with us and showing trust on us. Ligament tear are commonly seen in atheletes , due to a fall on outstretched hand , repititive monements also can cause such multiple tears .Wrist comprises 8 bones connected with eachother by ligaments . In most of the cases injury first affects the scapholunate ligaments which over a time causes instability in all wrist joints and damage in all ligaments leading pain , loss of motion and degenerative arthritis . Inflammatory arthritis itself has the capacity to damage ligaments . I would recommend you to consult with hands and wrist specialist / orthopedic surgeon for correct diagnosis and proper treatment for preservation of wrist function and faster recovery .
This is my initial response and discussion is open until you have any query or need further clarification. I wish you good health . Thank you for your question and feel free to contact further for any question . sincerely, Dr. Shardendu Tomar
