What Causes The Nipple To Be Pink While On HRT Patches?
Hi I have recently started hrt patches my breasts are changed the nipple is pink and always sticking out I am 58 yrs of age and have been on different hurt before but had a break and had to return to patches because of flushes they feel bigger in the evenings
I can understand your concern. Hormone replacement therapy can cause changes in breast size, tenderness, changes in nipples etc. As far as they are not bothering you too much, you can accept them. A same person can react differently to HRT at different stages of life because of different hormone levels and different doses of therapy.
If you develop discharge from nipples or develop pain or other symptoms, you should consult the gynecologist for physical examination of the breasts.
I hope this answer helps you. Thank you for choosing HCM. Take care.
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah
