yesterday my 8 year old daughter had her annual checkup had some lab work and some urine test done and the doctors called me yesterday saying she has protein in her urine is there any reason for concern. She is pretty healthy besides ocasional constipation and she is on the thinner side of girls her age.
Urine protein should be evaluated. It indicates there is some amount of glomerular damage due to or post infection. In children most common cause is glomerulonephritis. Kindly consult for proper evaluation of your daughter.
