What Causes The Pulse Rate To Be Steady Even After A Workout?

Hi, My question is after excercise my pulse rate is still just 60....

Most of the time lately it's in the 50's.

I do have high blood pressure, which has been a battle just to keep close to normal. I'm take diovan 160, toprol 25, altace 10, norvasc 10.

anymore i can't take them all, it's like being drugged (lol) and having no energy....

Have a great night...

Hello,

Welcome to HCM and thank you for this very relevant query.
I understand your concern.
You are on two medicines Toprol and Norvasc which lower the heart rate and this is the reason why your pulse rate is low. Also as per the latest guidelines Diavon ( ARB) and Altace ( ACEI) should not be combined.
If you have not been investigated completely for the cause of your hypertension, it should be done. If a correctable cause is detected and corrected, you would not require to be on so many medicines.
If you have further queries, I shall be happy to answer them.
Take Care
Dr Noble Zachariah
