What Causes The Recurrence Of Keloid On The Left Ear?
hello sir, I have kelloid on my left ear that happened due to ear piercing and i have already undergone a surgery for its removal. But the same is re-occuring at the same place. I have been suggested intralesional injection of steroids for its treatment, But my concern is whether steroids will cause any harm to the body or any side effects of steroids. Regards NIDHI CHHABRA AGE:24 wEIGHT:60 KGS
Keloid has a tendency for reoccurrence despite best treatment. Intralesional steroid help in reducing the size of keloid as well in preventing reoccurrence.
The side effects include pain, local site infection etc. But not occur in each and every patient. You will be given triamcinolone injection in keloid. So undergone steroid injection as per your doctor opinion.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
