What Causes The Strong Smell Of Ammonia In The Stools?
Hi! I have a question about a change in my stools which I've noticed over the past 6-9 months. Sometimes my stools have a strong smell of ammonia and sometimes the have a stong sweet foul odor with abdominal cramping and a feeling of fullness. No blood noted but at times nausea and loss of appetite. Do I need to see a GI doctor ASAP?
The usual cause is diet related. You may want to change some things in your diet first. If there is no improvement, then I would recommend seeing a GI doctor.
