What Causes The Swelling In Gums While On Antibiotics?
Hello, i am 15 years old and i had a sorethroat and lymph node swelling below my ear last week so i went to the doctor and he said that i was having a throat infection. after i ate the medicine i recovered and i forgot to finish the antibiotics. 4days ago, i started to have a fever which goes up and down and the highest was 39.4 degree celcius. my sore throat came back and i went to the doctor again (different one) and she just gave me another type of antibiotics. i am 3 days into the medication and my fever has gone down, my throat isn t that pain anymore but my gums have started to become swollen and i can t chew on any food or drink without feeling pain. what should i do?
Hello, Thank you for consulting with HCM. As you are mentioning that earlier you had fever and sore throat and now after medications you are feeling swelling of gums. It looks that because of fever there was improper cleaning of tooth and gums and now there is inflammation of gums. So better that you visit your nearby dentist and get a proper cleaning of tooth done. Hope it will help you.
