What Causes The Urge To Urinate After Drinking Fluids?
I am male, 36 , with a negative health history and concerned with a recent (2 mo.) onset urinary urgency within 1/2 hour of drinking any fluids. I was seen and had urinary cultures that are negative. I ve also has noted weight gain of 10 lbs. and mild abdominal bloating. My alcohol intake is 1-2 glasses of wine 3 days a week. My computer tech and PR job is high pressure in a school system but enjoyable. I have not had any answers to qualify this new urinary urgency and O.K, lab work excepting marginally high cholesterol. Any insights will be appreciated, Doctor. Thank you.
Increased urination can be seen with diabetes. Since you are also having weight gain and dyslipidemia, we should definitely rule out diabetes in your case.
So first get done HbA1C and fasting blood sugar level. Also get done ultrasound examination of abdomen to find out if any prostate pathology is there or not because this can also lead to similar symptoms. Don't worry, you will be alright. First diagnose and then start appropriate treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
