What Causes Thick Mucus In The Throat After Tonsillectomy?
I am 12 days post tonsillectomy, the pain finally has almost disappeared, but now I have thick mucous, which I am spitting up every 2 minutes. It s so bad I am going through 2 boxes of Kleenex a day. Now I am nauseous and having diarrhea, I think from swallowing some of the secretions.

As per your history it may be due to medications side effects only as you have a recent surgery so verbalize with your medico to integrate a probiotic and secondly check your stool for any infection. You can take pantaprazole for few days.
