I'm 18 years old and a female. just today i noticed that the veins in my thighs stood out tremendously more than usual and they're bright green. it really scared me when i saw it. this is the first time its happened. I'm 5'0" and 107lbs with a toned/athletic body type and have Benign Leukopenia. do you think that could have anything to do with it?
Hi, they could be reticular veins which can be visible under light colored skin. If they are causing any pain then you should see your Doctor who might advice you to get a Color Doppler test done if he suspects Varicose veins. So do not worry, it is normal and can be managed. If you are worried then see your Doctor and he will confirm whether you have Varicose veins or not. Reticular veins do not require any treatment. Take care, Dr Rishi, New Delhi, India.
