Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Three Hard Immovable Lumps In Right Groin?
I have 3 hard immovable lumps on my right side of my groin and 1 on my left. At first I noticed 2 and then over around a month I have noticed more. They don t hurt and I have no symptoms and I am fit and healthy. If I lay flat you can see them a bit. I am not sure what to do. I don t want to be a burden to the doctor because as far as I know, it could be something that everyone has... could you tell me what to do?
This is not a normal thing. Three hard immovable lumps at groin are possibly because of enlarged lymph nodes. Lymph node enlargement occurs due to some infection may in your foot, legs, thigh or around the genitals. It can be due to mosquito bite harboring filariasis organism. My advice is you take one complete course of broad spectrum antibiotic under guidance of your physician. As the number of enlarged nodes are increasing, this is suggestive of active infection. Consult your physician and get it examined by him.
