General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It might be due to pharyngitis.

As of now, you can take drugs like acetaminophen for symptomatic relief.

Do warm saline gargles also.

You have to consult a general practitioner and start a short course of antibiotics preferably amoxclav.

Generally, the symptoms will settle in couple of days, if persists consult an ENT specialist and evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
