What Causes Throat Discomfort With Dysphagia?

Hi, I have this wierd feeling when i swallow, like the there is a lump in upper part of my throat, when i put my finger at the back of my mouth just past tongue I feel like the is a flap of cartilage pointing up of hanging out. I have no pain just a slight discomfort when I swallow.Please help
