General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history of recurring throat infections, sinusitis, chesty cough with green mucus coming out, consulted Doctors and got treatment.
Your history well suggestive of an active infection affecting the whole respiratory system and recurrence indicates a chronic nature or insufficient diagnosis and treatment.
Hence I would advise you the following:
Consult your Doctor and insist on complete investigations as follows:
Detailed blood tests.
X-ray chest and CT scan if something is found.Tests of the phlegm for gram staining, AFB staining for tuberculosis, culture and sensitivity.
Throat swab and same procedure as just explained.
Any other special tests as would advise on consultation of an ENT Surgeon and a Pulmonologist after referral by your Doctor.
Further management as per the cause found.
Complete the full course.
Well balanced diet.
Plenty of oral fluids.
Get Vitamin D and A done and get replacement if the count is low.
Povidone iodine gargles.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT & General Surgeon
